Help Empower Youth Through The Sugary Stop Project
The Sugary Stop, a social enterprise founded in 2023 through the Empowering Youth Through Entrepreneurship program by the Wezesha Dada Center (WDC), is changing lives in Denver.
Youth aged 9 to 19 work at The Sugary Stop, gaining hands-on experience in running and managing a business. Using the enterprise as a model, they develop skills to launch their own ventures in the future.
The Sugary Stop serves the community with high-quality seasonal beverages while reinvesting 51% of its revenue into supporting the very program that made it possible.
Now, The Sugary Stop is taking its mission further by advocating for a change to Colorado’s statute C.R.S. § 7-80-203, which currently prevents youth under 18 from legally starting businesses. This change will open doors for underserved youth, providing opportunities to build wealth, develop skills, and contribute to their communities.
Your support will help fund community engagement, coalition-building, and advocacy efforts to make this change a reality. Together, we can give youth the tools to break cycles of poverty, foster resilience, and create a brighter future.
Join us in empowering Colorado’s youth to become the leaders of tomorrow!
