I support YESS Institute because it helps level the playing field for youth in under resourced communities. Integrating social-emotional learning into the school setting through a peer mentoring model is needed now more than ever. YESS cultivates a courageous community within its classroom where students can show up fully and authentically, have difficult conversations in a safe space, and learn the skills necessary to succeed. For many YESS youth our classroom is the one place they feel seen, heard, and empowered.
