This will fund educational materials, GED testing fees, training, and vocational skills programs, including transportation and computer equipment costs for a mixed learning environment. Providing GED preparation and vocational training opens doors for residents to further their education and improve their employability. It increases self-efficacy, empowering individuals to break the cycle of unemployment often associated with justice system involvement and addiction recovery. Access to education and skills training boosts self-confidence and offers a pathway to sustainable employment, improving the chances of long-term success and reintegration into society.. Depending on the number of participants, this budget can scale.

Funding the GED Preparation and Vocational Training program is a critical investment in the future of individuals seeking a second chance at stability and success. By providing access to essential educational resources, vocational training, and career guidance, this program empowers participants to overcome barriers to employment and build a foundation for long-term self-sufficiency. With 20 individuals poised to benefit from this initiative, the program offers a clear pathway to both personal and professional growth, helping participants break the cycles of unemployment and justice system involvement.

Moreover, we are actively planning to partner with a local trade school that offers a variety of certificate programs, from technical skills to healthcare, and provides job placement assistance. This partnership will ensure that participants not only achieve their GED but also gain access to additional certifications that open doors to in-demand job opportunities. With job placement support from both our organization and the trade school, participants will be well-positioned to enter the workforce with confidence and stability.

By funding this program, you will directly contribute to transforming lives and strengthening the community by giving individuals the tools and support they need to succeed. This is not just an educational initiative—it’s an opportunity to rebuild lives, restore dignity, and promote lasting change.
