On October 24, 2024, our son Miles was born at just 27 weeks weighing 1lb 6.6oz. We were told he was going to be a stillborn and there was no hope at all.
He fought for 73 days in the NICU. The hardest, yet most precious days of our lives. There were highs and lows, but every moment with him was special.
Though his life was cut far too short we find comfort in knowing he is at peace and breathing easy somewhere magical.
Miles was strong, brave, beautiful and endlessly sweet. We love and miss him more than words can express.
Our decision to run the Colfax Marathon was simple. We wanted to honor Miles and push our bodies—just a fraction of what he endured in the NICU. We are running for Miles and for every baby fighting for their life in the NICU.
We are raising money for Love for Lily, an organization that supports NICU families like ours through some of their hardest days.
