Pop Culture in Education!

"Pop culture Classroom is a non-profit organization that inspires a love of learning,

increases literacy, celebrates diversity, and builds community through the tools of

popular culture and the power of self-expression. For example, we publish comics and

graphic novels, provide educators with curriculum materials, and lead students through

interactive activities to immerse them in learning experiences."

I have been taking pictures for them for over a year now and the work that they are doing not only for Colorado but for education as a whole is nothing but awe inspiring. I have never met a group of educators who care so deeply about having better education for EVERY community the way they do. The way that PCC helps not only students but also educators implement popular culture into their lesson plans is one of the many reasons why helping them achieve their mission is a top priority to me.

Below are some moments captured at the Kids' Lab and All Ages Stage where many educators and pop culture icons have been able to speak to and show the power of education!
