If you know me, you know my love for animals runs deep. From my earliest memories to my current work as a veterinarian, environmental scientist, and aspiring epidemiologist, this passion has been my guiding force. I've dedicated my career to protecting wildlife and promoting environmental health to make a meaningful difference for animals and the ecosystems they call home.
This past July, I started volunteering with Northern Colorado Wildlife Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife in our community. This experience has been nothing short of inspiring. I've seen firsthand the dedication and hard work of the staff and volunteers who pour their hearts into saving animals that otherwise wouldn’t have a chance. From reptiles and birds to foxes, raccoons, squirrels, and more, the care they provide is truly lifesaving.
However, this work is not easy, and it’s certainly not cheap. The organization relies heavily on donations to fund the veterinary care, food, and supplies needed to give these animals the best chance at recovery. Without community support, it simply wouldn’t be possible to continue this vital work.
That's where you come in.
This holiday season, I'm asking friends, family, and anyone who shares a love for animals to consider making a donation to Northern Colorado Wildlife Center. Instead of buying another gift that may end up on a shelf, consider giving a gift that makes a real, lasting impact. Your donation—whether big or small—can directly support the care of injured wildlife, giving them a second chance to return to the wild where they belong.
I’ve found so much fulfillment in volunteering for this cause, and I truly believe in the work being done here. Every dollar helps, and your support would mean the world to the animals who depend on us. Thank you for considering a gift that truly makes a difference.
