GOALS Youth River Expeditions is a 501(c)3 nonprofit designing river expeditions that transform the future for kids and wild places.
GOALS stands alone in the outdoor youth empowerment space as a result of our three-layered focus that synchronously addresses adolescent mental health, the importance of environmental stewardship and the joy of outdoor adventure.
Much more than just an organization that takes kids on weeklong river rafting trips, GOALS is a devoted community of teachers, river runners, and environmental crusaders using their unique knowledge and educational skillsets to connect kids to their authentic selves through outdoor adventure. Using a thoughtfully designed curriculum centered around adolescent mental health, environmental education, resilience and social connectedness - kids experience joy by discovering authentic versions of themselves that societal pressures and hyper-scheduled and over-electronicized lifestyles have kept out of reach.
Over 14 seasons, GOALS has spent 12,000 days wandering the wilderness, crossed 114,500 miles of river and provided 1,961 transformative experiences to kids across the country. While we are incredibly proud of this impact - looking downstream, we are committed to doing more...
2024 will be a year of strategic growth and expansion for GOALS
With your help, we can:
- increase financial aid and scholarship funds to create more equitable access to GOALS river expeditions
- expand programming to offer year-round support and engagement activities for our GOALS community
- develop organizational infrastructure to support sustainable growth
Together, we can redefine the future for our children and the wild places they will inherit. Your support is not just an investment in GOALS; it's an investment in the future of our planet, our communities, and the next generation of leaders.
Thank you for your consideration!
