An Ode To Parent to Parent of Colorado, (with apologies to Elizabeth Barret Browning)

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love you  to the depth and breadth and height --of each of my children as they grew from toddlers to adults

 My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight – and my fingers can fly over the keyboard (or my thumbs on a phone) to know you are still there for me

 For the ends of being and ideal grace—when I feel like a failure of a mom, there you all are telling me I’m doing a great job!

 I love thee to the level of every day’s Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light -   24/7, there you are like a friend in the middle of the night

 I love thee freely, as humans strive for right – Thank you that it is still free to join, but not free to actually pull this all off!

 I love thee purely, as they turn from praise- Hey, our staff and support parents don’t toot their own horn, but I will toot for them, they rock!! 

I love thee with the passion put to use—Yup, I am definitely a cheerleader for P2P

 In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.—We have certainly had grieving, and even in enormous loss and small griefs alike, other parents ‘get it’

 I love thee with a love I seemed to lose-   there have been times when I felt like giving up, P2P said you can keep going!

 With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death.—As I faced cancer this year, knowing that Parent to Parent would be there for my husband to keep supporting our family, made the journey so much easier. And I’m happy to say, that I am currently cancer free and able to fight and love another day.
