MY PERSONAL CONNECTION TO THIS AMAZING ORGANIZATION

In 2019, I came to work with the talented and caring Dillon Kenyon at The Spark. Just one year after they had opened their doors and only a few months before COVID would have us close them for almost a year. To say the past few years have been a journey is an understatement - it has been a collaborative fight each day to keep safe spaces thriving in our community during such difficult and changing times. Why do I fight for The Spark? We serve a growing community of students through mentorship in the performing arts - I am a product of this model (growing up in a very supportive community theater circle in Jacksonville, FL); through mentorship you shape successful and passionate community members as well as well-rounded and confident theater professionals. We employ local professional artists in their craft and we are home to over 30 cultural organizations and individual artists who each receive a welcoming support structure to grow in and create in!

The Spark makes a difference in our community. So I am asking you to consider supporting us this season by making a recurring donation throughout the year. This donation is currently being matched, making every $1 = $2 (or every $100 = $200 monthly).

FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

This year, we are directing our fundraising efforts to our wider Spark community. The Spark is not just a venue; it's a nurturing space that houses over 30 artists, organizations, and groups. Many, including Boulder Performing Arts Company, Boulder Community Tai Chi Chuan and Maputo Mensah have been a part of The Spark since our inception in 2019.

With your support on this giving season, we aim to enhance our organizational capacity and infrastructure, ensuring that our Incubator Members receive the same level of engagement as our in-house Spark programs. By expanding our support system, we believe we can catalyze a positive ripple effect, benefiting not only our Incubator Members but the entire Spark community.

We aim to enhance our space and upgrade our technology to provide more resources to our community as well as showcase artists, host musicians and support emerging theatrical and arts groups. Your generosity ensures everyone benefits from these improvements.

The Spark is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated within the state of Colorado. So if you are interested in making a donation in support of our community that amount is tax-deductible.
