GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS, and LOCAL SUPPORT.

The Community Foundation means many things to many people in Weld County. To some, the Community Foundation is a place to begin a dream. Margaret Brown, the donor to the Byron and Margaret Brown Fund, reflects "I established our fund as a tribute to my late husband. I chose the Community Foundation because I liked their philosophy of helping where needed, and I can be assured that whatever I leave will continue to help in perpetuity, and my husband and family will be remembered."
Weld Community Foundation strengthens the bonds that make our communities thrive. As a grants and scholarships provider for the entire county, the Foundation focuses on stewardship, community connection, and supporting philanthropy, all in an effort to better "spread the good".
In 1997, the Greeley Area Foundation and the Weld Community Foundation completed a merger to form the Weld Community Foundation.
It was the foresight of the founding board members to create a single entity that has since provided more than $29 million in support to Weld County and other organizations over the past 25 years.
Today, the Community Foundation has more than 176 funds and assets of over $50 million.
