One of the most critical jobs of a land conservation organization, especially one that is in the business of perpetual land stewardship, is to ensure a connection to the next generation. To address this need, Colorado Open Lands created the Conservation Leadership Series (CLS).

Since 2017, 73 emerging leaders from a variety of professional occupations have graduated from CLS! In 2024, 22 additional participants graduated from the immersive 9-month educational experience that weaves together a series of briefings, field experiences, and networking opportunities to learn about the issues and complexities of land and water conservation in Colorado.

We know the program has significant value and remain committed to offering it as an opportunity for future years. On this Colorado Gives Day, we encourage our graduating cohort to rally their networks to support this impactful program. Any support raised from this campaign will directly support the 2025 cohort experience.
