Through education, outreach, and collaborative efforts, we strive to raise awareness about the unique needs and inherent value of horses. Our organization is committed to promoting responsible horse ownership, ethical treatment, and the humane management of equine populations.
Our adoption program connects horses and other equines with loving, responsible adoptive homes, to reduce instances of abandonment and provide a second chance at life for those in need.
In pursuit of our mission, we engage with individuals and groups to create a supportive community that recognizes the vital role horses play in our shared history, culture, and environment. Together, we aspire to build a future where horses are revered, protected, and celebrated, and where responsible adoption becomes a cornerstone of compassionate equine care.

Coral Acres Wellness Sanctuary is a female-founded nonprofit dedicated to the well-being of horses by prioritizing consent, compassion, safety, and partnership within our community.
Background Statement
CAWS was officially founded in July 2023 by 3 former colleagues and 1 volunteer at a horse rescue. After many years of experience working in nonprofit and animal rescue, our founding team decided it was time to create our own nonprofit. Today, Coral Acres Wellness Sanctuary is a foster-based rescue. We have rescued our first horse, Biscuit and look forward to being able to change many more lives in the future. As we move into 2024, our goal is to get out into the community and share our passion with as many people as possible.
