"Building Champions in Sport and in Life."

The non-profit, Lake Eldora Racing Team Association needs your help to offer scholarship opportunities for Boulder youth to participate in outdoor sports central to the Colorado lifestyle: skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking. Programs are designed to teach young athletes skills to excel in sport, and more importantly, develop a deep passion and respect for nature, community and themselves. EMSC and SMBA programs see over 85% of student athletes return each year, allowing them to truly grow up in our program.

Highlights from the 2023 - 2024 Season:

  • Provided world class programming to over 1000 participants ages 6-21 through our mountain bike, ski, and snowboard programs.
  • Continued to partner with the Ned SHRED program at Nederland Elementary. In 2024, 109 2nd - 5th grade Ned Elementary School students had the opportunity to spend a full day riding trails with SMBA coaches at no cost.
  • Curriculum based instruction from entry level to elite level progressions which reinforce fundamentals related to the values of sport, life, integrity, service, and commitment.
  • LERT provided over 60k dollars in scholarships for both EMSC and SMBA athletes.
  • SMBA Athletes and volunteered at the Fisherman's Lot Wetlands Restoration Project in Nederland, provided volunteer service to trailwork days, and volunteered at a local community garden which provided vegetables to the local food bank.
  • LERT provided increased staff certification and training opportunities for all staff to enhance their knowledge of the current curriculum and best coaching practices and so we can continue to provide world class coaching.

Goals for the 2024 - 2025 Season:

  • Raise scholarship funds to help get more athletes on bikes, skis, and snowboards and continue to reduce economic barriers to participation in our programs! Our mission is that no athlete shall be unable to meet their goals due to financial constraints.
  • Raise funds to replace and repair old and aging vans critical to provide safe transportation for athletes in both our summer and winter programs.
  • Generate funds to purchase equipment needed to host world class competition events that are conducted in a safe atmosphere with appropriate safety measures, hill preparation, and equipment needs.

We build champions in sport and in life!
