Pikes Peak Makerspace (PPM) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and dedicated to supporting our maker community in their creative process by providing shared space, shared tools, materials and a knowledge base to turn their ideas into reality.  We are tapped into and support the Colorado Springs startup community.

In the 1890s, Tesla conducted high-voltage, high-frequency power experiments here. A small plaque on Pikes Peak Avenue just west of downtown Colorado Springs (and only a minute or so by car from our Makerspace) recognizes his accomplishments. These days you might catch a member's Tesla car, other electric car or electric bicycle in our par

Mission

It is our mission to:

1) promote, support, and advance technical, scientific, and artistic skills,

2) to foster innovation and invention through individual and collaborative projects, and

3) to provide tools, resources, education and membership to the local community.

Background Statement

Originally incorporated in the Manitou Arts Center, Pikes Peak Makerspace opened its own doors near the downtown Colorado Springs Area, in 2016.

“Not having a makerspace in the Springs, I wanted a place where people could come and, maybe not as fast as I did it, learn how to draw in 3D and have access to 3D printers and a community of experts around them."

- Chris Vestal, cofounder
