Pipe Organ Restoration 2024

Our pipe organ has served us so well since its major installation and expansion in the mid-1980s thanks to a very generous benefactor. In recent years, some critical parts of the internals of the organ console have gotten so worn out that they cannot be repaired and must be replaced entirely. These parts control how the different "voices" are engaged, and support the smooth and reliable operation of all the keys, levers, switches, and knobs. Now in 2024, we are seeking $100,000 out of a total project cost of $174,000 to restore the console, keys, pedalboard, and stop actions, and add a modest complement of digital stops to keep our organ singing for decades to come. Work is slated to begin at the end of January 2024 and be completed by Easter.
