For decades, Holy Ghost Church has provided material assistance to the homeless and destitute of Denver through our Social Ministry Office. In the Fall of 2023, we dedicated this ministry to Mother Teresa.
Currently, we offer a 6-day sandwich line, thanks to the generosity of dozens of volunteers and supporting organizations including other churches and local businesses. We also conduct seasonal drives for winter clothing and hygiene products, as well as hats and wallets that are an immediate relief to those who benefit. Holy Ghost is proud to offer two sit-down meals for the homeless around Christmas and Easter each year. We also submit applications for driver license and state IDs as well as vital records requests both in Colorado and for out of state records, and cover the application fees.
We serve as a friendly face of faith for those so often overlooked or cast aside. This ministry to the humanity of those crossing our streets is as valuable as the material assistance we can render.
For other requested services, we maintain a list of local service providers we can refer.
This ministry is very beneficial to those who receive our services, and its operating budget is fundraised from our congregation and generous donors like you. Thank you, and may God bless you!
