Together we can make a difference and enhance the lives of our 60+ Community and those who care about and for them!!!
Archuleta Seniors Inc., a cornerstone organization in our community managing your local Pagosa Springs Senior Center. We are dedicated to empowing indivduals 60 and better, their families, and other community stakeholders in Archuleta County with vital nutritional services and programs promoting healthful living, social interaction, and independence.
Thanks to the Kind Donation of a Matching Grant provided by an anonymous benefactor YOUR GENEROUS DONATION will be DOUBLED and will enable us to:
- Serve the growing demand for delicious, nutritious & affordable Meals through our Meals on Wheels program serving homebound seniors, Grab & Go carry out meals, and Congregate Dining in our Silver Foxes Den (aka Community Cafe Dining Hall). Ensuring our 60+ community, their Caregivers, and guests have access to fresh, locally sourced, meals prepared daily. The Dedicated Staff of ASI provide over 1825 meals monthly.
- Expand our wellness programs, promoting physical health and mobility through classes like Yoga, Stretching & Mobility, and Tai Chi.
- Provide social and emotional support through Senior Conversations, and opportunities for Social Interaction with a variety of games and get-togethers, programs that combat loneliness and isolation.
- Continue our Medical Monitoring services, which provide seniors the ability to remain safely in their homes.
- Offer Caregiver Support to those who are dedicated to the well-being of our seniors, connecting them with the resources they need.
We would also like to Thank our Current Funding Partners.
- 34% of our funding is provided by ARCHULETA COUNTY.
- 22% is provided by the SAN JUAN BASIN AREA ON AGING.
- A Discounted Lease is provided by THE TOWN OF PAGOSA SPRING which allows us the use of the Ross Aragon Community Center commercial kitchen and our office space at below-market value rent of $33,425 annually.
- 7% of our Funding (changes annually) comes from awarded private grants.
- The remaining 37% of our funds are dependent on our ability to fundraise, via Fundraising Campaigns, Community Events, and the generosity of people LIKE YOU!!!
Although we are grateful for the support it is not enough.
Unfortunately, our funding is expected to decrease by 18% this next fiscal year, while our operating costs and demand for services have continued to increase.
