The Colorado Association for Bilingual Education (CO-CABE) has been advocating for emergent bilingual students, families and school  educators since 1984. We are a non-profit 501c3. Our mission is to advocate for and enhance the development of educational policy and programs that will positively affect learners and communities of linguistically and culturally diverse backgrounds. We support educators and administrators with professional learning opportunities, and students, families and communities with civil rights and social justice support. We are a state-wide supportive organization that is devoted to representing students, families and educators in the interests of advocacy and education for emergent bilingual students. Children are the primary concern for CO-CABE from PK-12 and beyond to higher education.

The areas that need support are in providing professional learning for our Colorado educators and administrators in the realm of linguistic and cultural diversity education. This is an area that CO-CABE provides, but needs monetary support in order for our webinars, workshops and conferences to happen.

We offer scholarships to students from undergrad to doctorate level, as well as teacher classroom grants that focus on projects that include language and culture. The grants support projects that teachers typically have to use their own money on in order to create the special projects.
