I am supporting City Year Denver because I believe in the power of young people to support and uplift our school communities, and in the ability of our kids to build on their strengths to solve problems.

As many of you know, I have served on City Year Denver's staff for 7 years. In that time, I've not only been inspired by the service of the 400+ AmeriCorps members I've supported but also by the careers and lives that our alumni lead.

City Year is focused on a "Whole School, Whole Child' approach, working to build educational equity and improve educational opportunities for student here in Denver, and around the country. The organization is committed to leveraging the talent, energy and idealism of corps members to serve as tutors, mentors and role models in schools to help students stay engaged and on track in their learning.
