Dolores Playground Group

Do you want to make a positive impact on the Dolores community and encourage people to get outside? As a valued member of the community, you can make a difference in the lives of many by helping a playground become a reality.

We are currently fundraising to support the Town of Dolores and their efforts to replace the Ron Kotarski Jr. Memorial Playground at Joe Rowell Park. The entire community has felt the absence of the playground and we are eager for the project to move forward!

Our community based group has kicked our fundraising efforts into high gear in anticipation for 2020 late spring/early summer community builds! The town has committed to a playground that will fill the 9500 sq ft footprint, and is now attempting to piece together funding to make it happen. This fall they were awarded a Kaboom grant for $80k worth of equipment in a 2500 sq ft. area. To fill the remaining 7000 sq ft, the town applied for the highly competitive GOCO grant, that is to be awarded in March 2020. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to purchase elements of the playground.
