Phoebe’s story

Our daughter was admitted to RMHC after having a lingering cough from a series of respiratory illnesses. We were not prepared for staying the night at the hospital and were not from the Denver area.   We spent a week in the hospital staying with our daughter after her unplanned surgery. The Child Life team stepped in and made us feel supported and cared for. They brought our daughter toys and games, including a Paw Patrol puzzle which made her day!! At such a stressful and scary time in our daughter’s life, RMHC was wholeheartedly there for us. 

Rocky Mountain Children's Health Foundation believes that no family should go through their child's illness alone. Through this campaign, we'll be raising funds that support these families' everyday needs at a time when they need it most. 

Having a child in the hospital or dealing with a serious illness is stressful enough. These families shouldn't also have to worry about meeting their basic needs during that time. Whether it's a rent or mortgage payment to keep them housed, groceries or meal cards to keep them fed, gas cards to get them to and from the hospital, or the love of a furry friend to brighten their day, your support takes some of that stress away.  

Together, we can make a huge difference for these families so they can focus on what really matters: being there for their child. We hope you'll join us!
