Amanda's Fundraiser for Seniors Resource Center

For Colorado Gives Day 2024, I’m asking your support in helping me raise $1,500 for Seniors Resource Center (SRC). I work at Lutheran Hospital as a care manager and have been working with SRC as a referral source to SRC programs throughout my 3 ½ year tenure. The most frequently used program being A Perfect Homecoming which ensures a successful transition back home for older adults after a hospital stay. This summer I joined the board.

I’ve witnessed firsthand the exceptional care they offer to older adults in our community. As the senior population grows, we need community partners able to meet the population's special needs, which SRC has proven to do so well.  I would love to see SRC continue to grow and expand and able to accommodate the needs of our ever-growing senior population and their families.

SRC helps seniors stay engaged in their communities by offering assistance with tasks that enable them to live independently, such as meal preparation, laundry, bathing help, errands, and, most importantly, companionship. This organization also provides valuable support to home caregivers, especially those caring for loved ones with dementia or other health conditions. Their adult day center offers caregivers the opportunity to take a well-deserved break while ensuring their loved ones receive meaningful interaction and care. Additionally, SRC’s team of dedicated professionals is always available to provide guidance, support, and connections to vital resources and services for aging individuals.

Our senior population needs much support from all!  With the continuous funding changes and shortages, SRC can use as much support from the community for such a positive cause that likely affects us all. I hope you’ll join me in supporting SRC, as we all care deeply about the health, well-being, and social engagement of our aging population.
