ScSEED relies on community support to enhance its capacity and impact within Saguache County. Funding allows us to expand our programs, create new initiatives, and strengthen partnerships that address local needs. With your support, we can tackle challenges, seize opportunities, and drive sustainable growth in Saguache County and across the San Luis Valley. By investing in ScSEED, you are helping to build a resilient, thriving community that benefits all residents.
Together, we can create meaningful change and a brighter future for our region.
Our current initiatives include:
- Providing Saguache County non-profits a financial infrastructure to operate within required accounting guidelines, and support with project management and fund-raising efforts.
- Monthly Business Coffee Hours, where business owners, entrepreneurs, and community members can gather to network, discuss challenges, and offer support and solutions. A guest speaker presents insight into relevant topics such as funding, housing, partnerships, and business resources.
- Support and involvement for the Vista Grande community project in Saguache.
- Developmental support for the Highway 285 Project through the Town of Saguache. Partnering with CDOT and the Town of Saguache, this project aims to bring safer multi-model transportation to the one mile stretch of Highway 285 through the town, including sidewalks, crosswalks and beautification.
- Efforts to improve the workforce housing availability within the county, in partnership with local municipalities, other community organizations, and interested residents.
- Support for entrepreneurship and employment opportunities across Saguache County.
