We are Weaving the Dream! Building a Healthier, Safer Community for American Indian and Alaskan Native (AI/AN) Families in Denver.
The "Weaving the Dream" campaign is a transformative $10 million fundraising initiative in partnership with Mercy Housing Management Group, Denver Indian Health and Family Services (DIHFS), Native American Housing Circle, and WellPower. Our goal is to create an equitable and supportive housing development in the Denver Metro Area that will provide American Indian and Alaskan Native (AI/AN) individuals with a place to live, heal, and thrive.
Our Vision:
With 190 new supportive and affordable apartments, including 94 units designated for households experiencing homelessness, and a state-of-the-art 18,000-square-foot Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), this development will integrate housing with comprehensive healthcare. Located at 901 Navajo on the transit line, this project will become a national model for combining wrap-around services with affordable housing.
Key Features of the Development:
-
Affordable, Safe Housing...
Our new construction project will offer studios and one- to four-bedroom apartments, designed with culturally inclusive spaces for families of all sizes. These homes will be a sanctuary for AI/AN individuals and families, offering community spaces, residential courtyards, gardens, a fitness center, and a playground—all designed to promote health, connection, and cultural pride. -
Integrated Health Services...
The 18,000-square-foot primary healthcare clinic, operated by DIHFS, will provide essential health services for AI/AN families. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), it will offer a comprehensive range of services, including medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health care, all in a culturally safe environment. -
Supportive and Culturally Responsive Programs...
Dedicated onsite residential services will support residents with case management, housing stability, including case management, housing stability, health and wellness outreach, financial literacy, job readiness, job services, and culturally relevant-responsive programing.
