Sept. 4, 2024 kicks off the inaugural Colorado Youth Sports Giving Day, a collaborative, month-long effort between Aspen Institute Project Play, Daniels Fund, and nonprofit organizations supporting youth sports throughout the state.

Local partners are generously matching the first $1 million in donations made online to participating nonprofits starting on September 4. Due to the momentum of giving for Youth Sports Giving Day, the Daniels Fund has added an additional $500,000 in incentive funds to boost youth sports nonprofits and increase the impact of every dollar donated. These new incentive funds, beyond the initial million dollars, will be distributed on a percentage basis, just like Colorado Gives Day, to ensure every gift made through September 30 continues to make an impact.

LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD

Every kid in Colorado deserves to experience the joy of playing sports.
Youth sports participation is lower than it should be, especially for kids in low-income families and communities of color. Youth Sports Giving Day is a way for Coloradans to come together and strike out inequality.

AMPLIFY YOUR IMPACT

Led by the Daniels Fund, Weld Trust, Denver Broncos Foundation, Colorado Health Foundation, Alpine Bank, Rose Community Foundation, Strohm Link Family Foundation, The Anschutz Foundation, and other sponsors, there will be a dollar-for-dollar match to the first $1 million in online donations starting September 4, 2024!

Due to the momentum of giving for Youth Sports Giving Day, the Daniels Fund has added an additional $500,000 in incentive funds to boost youth sports nonprofits and increase the impact of every dollar donated. Donations made after the initial $1 million match was expended will be eligible for the incentive fund to be distributed on a percentage basis, just like Colorado Gives Day, to ensure every gift made through September 30 continues to make an impact.

Donations must be made to participating organizations through the Youth Sports Giving Day ColoradoGives.org website.
