The Good Neighbor Fund is a critical safety net for the residents and workforce in the Telluride region. Through this fund, the Telluride Foundation provides emergency assistance to individuals and families experiencing a financial crisis due to medical, housing, and transportation challenges. Requests for funding are vetted by Tri-County Health Network's community health navigators, who connect applicants with other appropriate programs and benefits to promote long-term sustainability. By donating to the Good Neighbor Fund, you are not only helping a neighbor but also growing this safety net for the regional community.
David was able to pay his rent when surgery prevented him from working at his painting job for a month; Diana was able to pay for expensive dental care for her child when oral health began affecting his school performance; Mariam, who commutes to Telluride every day for work, was able to pay for car repairs and medical bills after an unexpected accident. Each of these individuals was helped by a Good Neighbor Fund Grant, which is often the difference in being able to keep a job, maintain housing, provide food for a family, or remain in this beautiful, generous community.
